    Itinerary

Hiking trip – Toubkal Mountain Climb from Marrakech 2 Days

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge

After an early morning pickup from Marrakech, we drive about 1.5 hours to the mountain village of Imlil (1,740m), the starting point of our trek. Here, you’ll meet your guide and muleteer. Our hike begins with a steady ascent through the Aït Mizane Valley, passing the villages of Aroumd and Sidi Chamharouch.

We’ll stop for a picnic lunch along the way. The trail then becomes steeper as we approach the Toubkal Refuge (Neltner Hut), where we will spend the night. The refuge sits at an altitude of 3,207 meters. We’ll have an early dinner and rest to prepare for the summit push.

Day 2: Toubkal Refuge – Summit (4,167m) – Return to Imlil – Marrakech

We wake up very early (around 4-5 AM) for a light breakfast before beginning our pre-dawn summit attempt. The climb is challenging, involving a steep scree slope, but is non-technical. Reaching the summit of Jebel Toubkal (4,167m) in time for sunrise is an unforgettable experience, offering spectacular 360-degree views over the Atlas range.

After celebrating and taking photos, we begin our descent back to the refuge for a proper breakfast and to collect our gear. We then continue our descent all the way back to Imlil village. Here, we will have a final lunch before getting into the vehicle for the transfer back to Marrakech, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation in the late afternoon or evening.
