Day 1: Casablanca Airport – Rabat

Upon arrival at Casablanca International Airport, you will be welcomed and driven directly to the capital, Rabat. We will visit the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the picturesque Kasbah of the Udayas. Enjoy your first Moroccan sunset on the Rabat seashore. Overnight in Rabat.

Day 2: Rabat – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, drive north through the scenic Rif Mountains to the famous “Blue Pearl,” Chefchaouen. Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy free time to wander through its iconic blue-washed alleyways and capture beautiful photos. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Travel through the Rif Mountains to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO site with impressive mosaics. Continue to the imperial city of Meknes to see Bab Mansour and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Arrive in Fes in the evening. Overnight in Fes.

Day 4: Guided Tour of Fes

With a local guide, dive into the ancient medina of Fes. Visit the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the famous tanneries, and enjoy a panoramic view over the medina. Overnight in Fes.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in the alpine-style town of Ifrane and the cedar forests to see Barbary macaques. Descend through the dramatic Ziz Valley, pass through Erfoud, and arrive in Merzouga. Here, ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset to your desert camp for dinner and a night under the stars.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert Exploration

After a desert sunrise and breakfast, explore by 4×4. Visit Khamlia village for Gnawa music, meet nomadic families, and see desert mines and oases. Return to a hotel at the dunes’ edge for the night.

Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Rose Valley

Depart the desert, stopping at the historic market town of Rissani. Continue to the stunning Todra Gorge for a walk between its towering cliffs. Drive on to the fragrant Rose Valley for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, drive to Ouarzazate, “Hollywood of Africa,” and visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. Then, cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass to arrive in Marrakech in the evening. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 9: Guided Tour of Marrakech

Discover the “Red City” with a local guide. Visit the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, and the bustling souks. The tour includes the beautiful Majorelle and Menara Gardens. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 10: Free Day in Marrakech

A free day to enjoy Marrakech at your own pace. You may choose to relax, shop in the souks, or book an optional experience such as a traditional hammam and massage or an unforgettable sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Palmeraie. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 11: Marrakech – Casablanca Airport

Do we spend two nights in the desert?

You spend two nights in the Merzouga desert area, but in different types of accommodation. The second night is in a desert camp (tents) after a camel trek. The third night is in a hotel in the town of Merzouga, allowing you to enjoy hotel amenities like a private bathroom and possibly a pool after your desert experience.

Are there bathroom facilities at the desert camp?

Yes, our premium desert camps provide shared bathroom facilities with basic toilets and showers. Please note that while they are clean and functional, amenities are simpler than in a city hotel, in keeping with the remote desert environment. We recommend bringing personal toiletries.

Is this tour suitable for children or travelers with limited mobility?

The tour involves some walking over uneven terrain (e.g., in Ait Ben Haddou and Todra Gorges) and the camel ride, which requires mounting/dismounting. While we welcome families, very young children or those with significant mobility concerns may find parts challenging.
