1 Day Trip to Meknes Volubilis from Fes

Day 1: Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After a morning pickup from your accommodation in Fes, we drive into the countryside towards the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. Upon arrival, you will have time to explore this remarkable archaeological site. Walk among the ruins of temples, basilicas, and triumphal arches, and admire the well-preserved floor mosaics depicting Roman mythology.

An optional local guide can greatly enhance your visit. Afterward, we continue to the nearby imperial city of Meknes. Here, you can discover the legacy of Sultan Moulay Ismail by visiting the monumental Bab Mansour gate, the vast Heri es-Souani granaries and stables, and the beautifully decorated Moulay Ismail Mausoleum.

You will have time for lunch (at your own expense) in the medina. In the late afternoon, we begin our return drive, arriving back in Fes in the early evening.
