6 DAYS DESERT TOUR FROM FES TO MARRAKECH

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we depart Fes and head south towards the Sahara. Our journey begins in the Middle Atlas Mountains with a stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine architecture, followed by a visit to the Azrou Cedar Forest to see Barbary macaques. We then cross the mountains and descend for a panoramic view of the immense Ziz Valley palm grove. Passing through the fossil town of Erfoud, we arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Here, you will mount a camel for a serene sunset trek to your desert camp for an unforgettable night under the stars, with dinner included.

Day 2: Merzouga Sahara Desert – Khamlia Village – Nomads – Merzouga Oasis

Wake up early for a spectacular desert sunrise. After breakfast at the camp, return by camel to the village. Then, take a 4×4 to explore the area: visit Khamlia village for a performance of spiritual Gnawa music, share mint tea with a nomadic family in their tent, and discover the local Merzouga oasis. The afternoon is free to relax at your hotel or for optional activities. Overnight in a hotel at the dunes’ edge.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we leave the desert, stopping at the historic market town of Rissani. We then continue to the stunning Todra Gorge to walk between its towering 300-meter-high cliffs. Our day ends in the dramatic Dades Valley, famous for its winding roads and unique “Monkey Fingers” rock formations, where we will spend the night.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

We depart the Dades Valley, traveling along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to Ouarzazate, “Morocco’s Hollywood.” We visit the famous film studios before exploring the iconic UNESCO site of Ait Ben Haddou. In the afternoon, we cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, arriving in Marrakech in the evening for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Exploring Marrakech with a Local Guide

After breakfast, meet your licensed local guide for a full-day tour of the “Red City.” Explore the history and culture of Marrakech by visiting the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Koutoubia Mosque. Immerse yourself in the vibrant spectacle of the Jemaa el-Fnaa square and wander through the bustling souks. The afternoon offers free time for further exploration or relaxation. Day 6: Drop off at Marrakech Airport

After breakfast at your riad or hotel, enjoy some free time until your scheduled departure. We will provide a timely transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of our services.
