A captivating 7 Days Morocco Tour from Tangier, from the Mediterranean coast to the edge of the Sahara and into the vibrant imperial cities. This comprehensive tour seamlessly blends cultural immersion, historical exploration, and stunning natural scenery.
Discover the iconic blue lanes of Chefchaouen, the ancient medina of Fes, the golden dunes of Merzouga, and the bustling energy of Marrakech. Travel across diverse landscapes—from the Rif and Atlas Mountains to palm-filled valleys and stone deserts.
Designed for depth and comfort, this itinerary offers an authentic and unforgettable Moroccan experience, concluding with a convenient departure from Marrakech.
Upon your arrival at the port or airport in Tangier, our driver will meet you with a warm welcome. We begin our journey immediately, driving south via Tetouan and crossing the scenic Rif Mountains. We arrive in the famous blue city of Chefchaouen, where you will check into your hotel.
The afternoon is free for you to wander and discover the beauty of its iconic blue-washed streets and relaxed atmosphere. Overnight in a Riad or Hotel.
After breakfast at your riad, we depart for the imperial city of Fes. We journey through the Rif Mountains, passing villages like Ouazzan. We arrive in Fes by midday and begin a half-day guided sightseeing tour.
Our visit includes the grand Royal Palace gate, the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah) from the 16th century, the renowned Al Qaraouine University (the oldest in the region), the vibrant tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. Overnight in your charming Riad in the Medina of Fes.
After checking out, we travel south towards the Sahara Desert. We pass through Ifrane, known as “Morocco’s Switzerland,” and into the Middle Atlas Mountains. We continue through Midelt, descend through the dramatic Ziz Gorges, and follow the lush Ziz Valley with its dense palm groves, passing through Erfoud, the capital of fossils and dates.
We arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, where you will mount camels for a tranquil trek to a desert camp. Spend the night under a blanket of stars in a traditional Berber tent.
After a desert sunrise and breakfast, we begin our journey to the Dades Valley. We pass through the traditional market town of Rissani and see ancient *khettara* underground irrigation systems.
Our route leads us to the stunning Todra Gorges, where you can walk between its towering 300-meter-high limestone cliffs. We then continue through the Todra Valley and several Berber villages before arriving at our accommodation in the Dades Valley for the night.
We depart the Dades Valley and travel towards Ouarzazate. We then visit the famous Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987 and a legendary film location.
Afterwards, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), enjoying spectacular views and making several photo stops along the way. We arrive in the vibrant city of Marrakech in the evening for an overnight stay in your Riad.
After breakfast, a local guide will lead you on a full-day tour of Marrakech’s most beautiful monuments. The tour includes the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Marrakech Museum, and the iconic Koutoubia Mosque.
The afternoon is dedicated to the beautiful Majorelle Garden and the serene Menara Garden with its historic pavilion. The remainder of the day is free for your own exploration. Overnight in your Riad.
After your final Moroccan breakfast, you will have some free time depending on your flight schedule. We will then provide a timely transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport for your departing flight, marking the end of our services.
You spend two nights in the Merzouga desert area, but in different types of accommodation. The second night is in a desert camp (tents) after a camel trek. The third night is in a hotel in the town of Merzouga, allowing you to enjoy hotel amenities like a private bathroom and possibly a pool after your desert experience.
Yes, our premium desert camps provide shared bathroom facilities with basic toilets and showers. Please note that while they are clean and functional, amenities are simpler than in a city hotel, in keeping with the remote desert environment. We recommend bringing personal toiletries.
The tour involves some walking over uneven terrain (e.g., in Ait Ben Haddou and Todra Gorges) and the camel ride, which requires mounting/dismounting. While we welcome families, very young children or those with significant mobility concerns may find parts challenging. Please contact us to discuss private vehicle adjustments or alternative arrangements to best accommodate your needs.
The tours we offer are examples of our most popular journeys. However, Morocco is best experienced at your own pace and interest. If you have different dates, destinations, or specific requirements, please contact us. We will happily customize a private itinerary—adjusting durations, accommodations, activities, or routes—to ensure your trip is exactly as you envision.
